Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions Fort Worth and Dallas clients ask us most about tax appointments, fees, clean-up work, and choosing a business entity.
Questions and answers
What should I bring to a first tax appointment?
Last year's federal return, this year's tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, mortgage and property tax statements), and names, birthdates, and Social Security numbers for you, your spouse, and any dependents. Upload them through the client portal rather than by email.
Do you work with clients outside DFW?
Yes. We serve Fort Worth, Dallas, and the whole DFW area in person, and clients across the U.S. through the secure portal and video calls.
How are fees set?
Each engagement is quoted after the consultation based on scope. Recurring services such as accounting and advisory are billed at a flat monthly rate.
Can you catch up years of unfiled returns or messy books?
Yes. Clean-up work is quoted separately, and we reconcile the books first so the returns are built on accurate numbers.
Which entity type is right for my business?
It depends on your profit, your owners, and your plans. We walk through the tax and liability trade-offs of an LLC, S corporation election, or other structure before you file anything.
